Charity Auction Alert!
A one off from The Sipping Shed is being auctioned right now by The Really Good Whisky Company with all proceeds going to the Trussell Trust.
There are tons of goodies to choose from and our donation seems quite humble compared to others but let me reveal what’s in it.
There are 6 miniatures in rather tidy black frosted glass bottles – 3 x 10 year old Caol Ila and 3 x 11 year old Blair Athol. Super winter warmer taste sensations as you’d expect.
But the star of the show is a 20cl cask sample drawn from a cask of Glenshiel distilled at Loch Lomond distillery. As a cask sample it’s completely unique and not a sample taken from a product range. Not only is it a one off but it’s very tasty indeed. Matured in a 1st fill bourbon barrel, it’s got wonderful weight in the mouth, lots of buttery toffee notes and lashings of vanilla, with a suggestion of cereal grains, a dusting of cocoa and a touch of wood spice to balance the sweeter elements. Delicious stuff.
So get yourself something completely unique from The Sipping Shed and support a good cause.
